You might be thinking: Who is she? Will she be a good fit for me because I really need help?
Those are important questions. A strong therapeutic relationship matters, especially when you’re reaching out for support. Here’s a little about me so you can decide if I may be a good fit for you.
My path to becoming a therapist is unique. I’m originally from Delaware County, PA, and began my academic journey at Penn State (Main Campus), where I earned a degree in Risk Management with a minor in Psychology. After graduating, I worked at KPMG LLP, one of the world’s largest consulting firms. Through personal experiences and volunteer work outside of my professional role, I developed an interest in mental health and emotional well-being.
I became aware of how challenging it can be to find a culturally aware therapist, particularly for Black and Brown folx. This realization and my faith inspired a career shift. I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I am also currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree at Immaculata University.
For over four years, I have provided therapeutic services to more than 100 individuals ages 18 to 80+ throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. My experience includes college counseling, community mental health, and work in an all-women’s partial hospitalization program. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma. I love to integrate faith-based interventions that align with a client’s belief system.
I would be honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
